For End-Users

Q: How do I find the login page?

Typically, you can access the login page by clicking to Log In. We have a "Log in" link in the header, and footer

Q: How do I find the registration page?

You can usually find it at Log In and go to the "Create new account".

Q: I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

Go to the login page (Log In) and click the "Reset your password". This usually takes you to "Reset your password" form. Enter your username or the email address associated with your account, and you'll receive an email with instructions to set a new password.

Q: I forgot my username. How can I log in?

You can usually log in using the email address associated with your account instead of your username. If you need to recover your username, try the password reset process using your email address; the reset email might contain your username. If not, you may need to contact the site administrator.

Q: Why can't I register for an account? The registration page is missing or doesn't work.

The site administrator may have disabled new user registrations or restricted it. Contact the site administrator if you believe you should be able to register.

Q: I registered but didn't receive a confirmation/welcome email. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk mail folder. If it's not there, wait a little while as email delivery can sometimes be delayed. If you still don't receive it, try the password reset process using your email address – this can sometimes trigger account activation if that was the step requiring email verification. If problems persist, contact the site administrator.

Q: Why do I see "Unrecognized username or password. Forgot your password?" when I try to log in?

This means either:

  • You've entered the wrong username/email or password. Double-check for typos and case sensitivity.
  • Your account doesn't exist (perhaps you haven't registered yet).
  • Your account is blocked or hasn't been approved/activated yet.

Try resetting your password. If that doesn't work, contact the site administrator.

Q: Why am I being blocked after too many failed login attempts?

This is a security feature to prevent brute-force attacks. You'll usually be temporarily locked out. Wait for the specified time (often 5-30 minutes) and try again, or use the password reset function if you've forgotten your credentials.
